Today we had some pretty substantial snow thanks to a storm. Thank you God I had the day off because otherwise I'm not sure how I could have gotten to work! I actually had the weekend before Christmas off and I have no clue why. I mean - wouldn't this be the busiest weekend of the year?? Not that I'm complaining. Trust me, I enjoyed my weekend.

Not much else going on right now. Working so I can pay my bills. Sadly I just don't make enough. I really don't know how to make more money without either doing something I don't want to do or go back to school. I'd prefer the latter - but unfortunately, that requires money too. Money I just don't have unless I have some big inheritance I don't know about.

If anyone ever wanted to contribute to my cause - I do still have a print account. No one ever orders anything but me, but it's still there LOL

Tomorrow is Black Friday and I have never been so scared to go to work! It's going to be mayhem and it's most likely going to suck. A lot. All day from 430am till 5pm. Ick. Wish me luck!

In other news ... One month until Christmas. I haven't really done much shopping and that's bad. I don't have a ton of money either. So I guess I will do what I can.

Mom's visit to MA was a lot of fun -- I really didn't take nearly as many pictures as I thought - mostly because she was the one with the camera. I took a few, but on her new camera. LOL

So. I have officially been at Best Buy one whole month! Things there are great! I have fun and as far as I know, I do a good job! I still haven't earned my blue shirt - but I do get my discount now! Woo hoo! The shirt will come soon...

This week I am not working at all in honor of my mom that is visiting us for the first time since we moved here! She has never been here, so we will be going plenty of places. Expect some new pictures from me!

I really hope my camera holds out that long. It has been being kinda funny lately, so I'm not too sure how much longer it will be with us. That's where my new discount might help - I have been eying the newer version of my camera. [link] I want it. Nice thing is that since it truly is the newer version (I have the 710) I can use the same batteries, memory cards, and case for it!

I am employed again!! Sorta. I accepted a full-time cashier position at Best Buy. It's retail, but that's what I'm good at. That and its still $10 an hour. I really lucked out that they had full-time available! I did my exciting drug test yesterday and hope to get a call soon to find out when orientation is. I got my khakis and my new shoes already LOL Now I'm looking forward to that discount...

I actually had pretty good luck with the job search. I also had a job offer at PetSmart, but they couldn't guarantee the hours I need. I Filled out a total of 5 applications and got 3 responses within the week. People kinda liked the whole lots of retail experience mixed with Disney experience!

In other news - I went to my first Fenway Park Red Sox game the other day! OMG It was awesome! My friend Helen invited me to go last minute - since I was unemployed, I didn't have anything else to do while Sean was at work. Fenway is SO different from Angel Stadium - mostly in the fact that you really don't see any other fans other than the Red Sox Nation. Such a wonderful atmosphere! Thanks to Helen's schmoozing with the usher, we got moved from our high up seats to the third row! We were so close you could practically count the blades of grass! Sadly, since it was a night game all my pictures are blurry, grainy, or both. Sean and I are going to a game at the end of the month too. Can't wait!

Only 4 more boxes in the living room! Almost there! Yay! We hung pictures and everything! It looks so wonderful! I feel more moved in and comfortable here than I ever did in the Tustin apartment. Odd, Isn't it?

So. I am now unemployed once more.

Apparently "it's not working out". Let's just say IF I had had ADEQUATE training, I MIGHT have actually been able to do the job. I "worked" for almost a full month. Most of that time was spent watching others do their job and not doing it myself. Then the last week they said "here you do it now" and expected WAY too much from me. They didn't really give me a chance!!! They seriously were expecting me to take stuff home and "study" it. I was pretty much expected to memorize the entire service schedule for Honda - not just what is done, but why. If I wanted to be a mechanic I would have gone to school for it. The job description said "no experience required" and did NOT mention any memorization requirements. At least I got $11/hr for it... they paid a few bills for me. Whatever. I'm better off without them anyhow.

On the bright side - I now have a good friend here in MA! Maybe I was only meant to have that job long enough to make friends. I would like to think of it that way. It's nice to have someone that isn't related to Sean to hang out with

So I think I'm going to stick to retail until I figure out what I REALLY want to do with my life. The pay is crap usually, but I know it and am a good cashier. I have too many bills to spend any more time looking for something else. I already put in applications for a couple things. I just don't really like how everything is an online application now. What happened to human contact? Maybe I will find something that might give me more time to spend with Sean - we have had opposite work schedules since I started that place. It's not fun only seeing him for an hour as we eat dinner.

Everything else is just fine here. Not many boxes other than decorative stuff left. I think we will put things up on the walls next Then it will look like we are moved in! Maybe I will go for a walk in a few days and take some pictures or something. Now that I have free time again.
